The Hernes Hunters all started back on Socom 1. This clan was born by the curious nature of its leader HerneShadow when he was faced with a button that he had no idea what it did. When he clicked this button marked Clan something magical happened.
Once the clan was named it was not long before it began to grow. Of the current
members Nips and Just a Girl have been in the clan for the longest of all of our members.
The Advent of Socom 2 was a great time for the clan and at one time we had 3 clan rosters running as we had so many people wanting a HH tag on their names.
After a lot of organising and blood, sweat, and tears from MrsHerneShadow the clan Paint ball meet was born and has grown in to an annual event. It was this more than anything else that has made HH what it is today.
Having met the members face to face and got to know each other HH has grown still further in to more of a family than a clan.
With a good group of friends around us HH has become well known on the Socom servers and many other clans play along side us on a regular basis. WAC have been constant companions to us over the years and we still find WAC members in our rooms today.
Many other clans became friends when they found our rooms to be a mix of good fun and mild insanity. Our clan allies and friends are listed on our clan allies page.
Time moved on and after a faltering start HH found its self established on Socom 3. This was a hard time for HH as many people did not get on with the new game and many players left socom for other games. Through it all there was a small die hard contingent of HH who were always to be found on the battle fields of Socom 3.
To these members I say thank you for keeping the clan alive. They know who they are and I would not presume to embarrass them by naming them here.
So don't worry Mossy, Snorky x, Skib, Nips, Just a Girl, Papa J, lewechew, Ragnarock, Ice Chick, & SirSterling, I will not tell anyone.
This is when a new challenge arose. The say This is Living..... The PS3 rose like a massive shiny monolith to stand in our living rooms and beckon us off to pastures new. So once again HH evolved. Now you can find HH members on PSN playing the maddeningly addictive Resistance : Fall Of Man as well as Motor Storm and other PS3 titles. The other games you will find us on are listed in out Games section.
This was all good fun and many hours of mindless violence was spent on R:FOM and other games until the beauty that is Socom Combined Assault arrived all shiny and new in its unassuming green box.
HH has made the move to multi platform well and I look forward to the future of the clan with a renewed hope that the clan that began as a bit of an accident, when I pushed the button with out reading the instruction booklet, will continue to grow and evolve as the years pass.
As the clan motto and battle cry rings out "Purple Monkey Dishwasher" I close our history so far and look to the future.
